While photo #17 seems to indicate that at one time in the colony's early years the miniature trains traversed Britain Ave. This photo leaves no doubt as the tracks are clearly visible in the street that ran north from Britain between the Bethlehem and Jerusalem residential buildings. These tracks apparently continued north through the famous 1906 arch between these buildings. Since during this entire period the city streetcar line tracks ran down Britain Ave. we are left to wonder how these tracks crossed and how this spur connected to the rest of the railroad. |
